About
Join us this Saturday 21st December for our Waltham Forest group's intermediate ride. This week we will be heading from Jubilee Park to Victoria Park. The ride is approx. 8 miles long and will include a cafe stop.
This ride is aimed at those who are confident with controlling a bike and want to join a relaxed, social ride as well as those who want to build confidence riding on the road who maybe aren’t confident to do this independently.
There are a limited number of bikes available to borrow or you can bring your own road-worthy bike. Whilst we always endeavour to ensure bikes are available, there may be circumstances in which we need to cancel a bike booked in the event of unforeseen mechanical issues.
Rides start at Leyton Jubilee Park, E10 7BL. Meet by the container next to the Pavilion (close to the Seymour Rd entrance to the park and the opposite side to the park from Kukoolala Cafe and Marsh Lane)
There is limited parking at Jubilee Park next to Kukoolala Cafe, accessed from Marsh Lane. You can’t enter the car park until 9.15am (due to local school streets - you may incur a fine if you do) and the parking limit is 3 hrs (which should be sufficient for our rides but it’s not an absolute guarantee!)
If you park in the Marsh Lane car park, you will need to walk across the park to get to the meet point.
Please bring with you:
-Water
-Snacks
-Money for cafe if you'd like to buy anything
-Helmet (if you wish to wear one)
-Bike lock (we’d recommend a secure D lock) and spare inner tubes (if on own bike)
Riders participate in the ride at their own risk and accept that their safety is a matter of personal responsibility.
For any questions about the rides please contact walthamforest@cyclesisters.org.uk.
