Our After School Club at To The Woods offers children a chance to unwind, play, and explore the outdoors after the school day. Designed for primary-aged children, the sessions provide a relaxed and supportive environment where children can spend time in nature, build confidence, and enjoy being active with friends.
Each session includes a range of nature-based activities led by our experienced staff. Children may take part in bushcraft skills, den building, outdoor games, nature crafts, and seasonal activities, as well as time to explore the woodland and enjoy free play. We often gather around the campfire for cooking or storytelling, helping children learn practical skills while having fun. Our approach encourages creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving while helping children develop a positive connection with the natural world.
Children should come dressed for outdoor play, including a warm coat and wellies, and bring a water bottle. We believe that spending time outdoors supports children’s wellbeing, helping them burn off energy, relax after school, and develop resilience and independence.
Our After School Club provides a safe, welcoming, and inclusive space where children can make new friends, try new activities, and enjoy the freedom of outdoor play. Sessions are led by trained staff who are passionate about supporting young people and creating positive experiences in nature.
Spaces are limited to keep the sessions safe and supportive, so booking in advance is required. If your child is unable to attend, we kindly ask that you let us know as soon as possible so the space can be offered to another child.
