Description
Learn to offer more inclusive football opportunities with our Sense Active Sensory Football CPD workshop.
Sensory Football reimagines the way football activities are delivered, to help ensure the benefits and outcomes gained from playing football can be achieved by people with complex disabilities.
This workshop is suitable for football clubs, community foundations, teachers, carers and family members- anyone working with those with complex disabilities, and will cover:
- What sensory football is
- Why we need a different approach to football for people with complex disabilities
- How anyone can deliver sensory football to people with complex disabilities - some practical tools
You will also have access to post-workshop guidance and resources to support your delivery.
Why should we approach football differently?
Currently, a large percentage of disabled people are missing out on taking part in football, due to their complex needs. Many existing opportunities to play are either impairment specific, or not adapted in a way that someone with complex disabilities can access meaningfully.
By adapting the approach to delivery and focusing on more appropriate sensory-based activities, Sense Active have created a pathway for people with complex needs to actively participate in football in a way which meets their needs.
Sensory Football opens up the game up to a whole new audience.
Zoom link will be sent upon booking.
