SS Volleyball are delighted to host the 16th Student Beach Volleyball Championships! This provides the opportunity for student clubs to face off and see who will claim the Beach Volleyball Cup.

The Cup Final will take place at Portobello Beach, Edinburgh, on Saturday 16th May 2026. We’ll also be running a 4v4 Beach Tournament alongside.

Entry deadline: 12:00 on Thursday 7th May

IA Approval deadline: 1500 on Friday 8th May

Eligibility: Entries are open to currently matriculated students at SSS-affiliated Scottish institutions as per our Terms and Conditions. There must be at least 1 person who identifies as a man/woman in every team of 4 for the Mixed 4v4 event.

A maximum of 16 teams will be allowed in men’s and women’s championships. All institutions will initially be allowed to enter one team. If the entry limit of 16 teams is not reached, further teams will be allowed to enter. Please therefore enter your highest ranked team first, and then your other teams as reserves. Team 1 is guaranteed entry and the entry status of teams 2 and 3 will be confirmed following the entry deadline of, 1600 on 1st May 2026.

Format: Specific rules and draw will be circulated once final entries have been received

On The Day Registration: Teams should arrive no later than 0900 to register their team

Cost: £10 per Cup team & £10 per 4v4 Team

Entry Deadline: Please enter by 1600 on Friday 2nd May. No late entries will be accepted 

Payment: Sports Unions will be invoiced for entries following the event
