Scottish Student Cross Country 25/26

Womens Race: 2pm
Mens Race: 2:40pm
Event Description: Stirling University are back in with their Freshers XC event - part of the SSS Winter XC Series! A 3km short course route around the scenic grounds of Stirling University overlooking the Wallace monument. A great opportunity for any new freshers or returning athletes, of all abilities, to kickstart their XC season and get a taste of some friendly competition.
Race Cost: £6 per person
Entries open: Wednesday 17th September
Entries close: Sunday 12th October at 23:59
Declarations: Please declare at least 30 minutes before the start of your race.
Prizes:
- Medals will be awarded to the top 3 runners in each race
- Race winners will get an extra prize!
- Team Alexis Rose have kindly decided to sponsor an award this year. This will be presented to the top team of each race which will consist of the top 3 counters per university.
About Team Alexis Rose
- They raise awareness for meningitis & septicemia through the charity Meningitis Now. Partnering this year with Stirling University Athletics Club, we’re raising awareness for the diseases through our mutual love of athletics and staying active.
Parking and Transport: Paid parking is available at the golf course/Airthrey Pavilion. Extra parking is available at various points around the university. Uni-link bus available from Stirling city centre.
Toilets and Changing Facilities: Limited toilets available in the Airthrey Pavillion, with extra available a 10 minute walk away inside the University of Stirling Sport Centre. Limited changing facilities available, therefore, we recommend arriving in kit and ready to race.
Equipment Regulations: We recommend using 9mm or 12mm spikes.
