illinghay pool is a community venture, run by community volunteers for the community. The pool opens yearly from the school summer half term until the weekend before school in the Autumn. During the school term it is open at weekends and in the evenings, during the holidays it is open for several sessions each day. There are also dedicated adult only swim sessions. *The whistle is blown 15mn prior to the advertised closing to allow time for everyone to get changed and covers put back on the pool. In 1972 , the villagers of Billinghay got together and built themselves a swimming pool. Today, volunteer-run, it is a popular leisure facility serving a wide area. It is an outdoor, heated, secluded pool, a full 25mx10m, with a maximum depth of 2m. For the kids (mainly!) there are two slides. Our reception is always staffed by volunteers to help you with any queries or serve up some hot drinks, bacon rolls home baked cakes or other refreshments! So come on over to visit us! And if you don't fancy getting in, you can just laze around on our sunloungers, whichever takes your fancy. So.....
