Enjoy Miles of Golden Sand - Blue Flag Award Winner
Mablethorpe Prom – Fun For All Ages
Wonderful soft golden sand stretches for miles in both directions on our beautiful, Blue Flag Award winning beach. Stay around the town centre for the fairground, cafes, fish and chips, crazy golf, donkey rides and everything you’d expect in a traditional seaside holiday resort. For a quieter experience simply head north for sand dunes and a beach that gets wider and wider until it almost reaches the horizon at low tide up at Theddlethorpe.
Swimming at Mablethorpe Beach
The waves and tides are fairly gentle at Mablethorpe but we still recommend you swim between the flags in full view of the lifeguards that watch the beach through the summer season. If you’re not ready for swimming in the sea why not visit The Lincolnshire Aquapark, or for the little ones there is a popular Splash Pool in Queens Park.
Surfing at Mablethorpe Beach
On the very southern edge you’ll often find some surfers close to the outfall know as Trusthorpe Point. A more popular spot is a few miles south at Sandilands. Don’t forget you can check the surf on the Mablethorpe Beach Cam which was originally installed as a Surf Cam.
Events on Mablethorpe Beach
Regular events include the Illuminations Switch On with fireworks at the end of July and the Bike Racing throughout the winter. Other events include sand castle competitions and the Bathing Beauties Festival.
Car Parks Close to Mablethorpe Beach
There are plenty more car parks close to the beach. If you want to be away from the busy town then try ‘North End’ beside the Seal Sanctuary, or the more southerly of Queens Park’s car parks accessed from Queens Park Close. In the busy, town area, you’ll find a host of private car parks surrounding the Beck Pub on Quebec Road and another hidden away down Admiralty Road (beside The Mirage). If all else fails, and you don’t mind a short walk, the town centre’s main car park is found behind the Co-Op on Seacroft Road. Perfect for a wander around town as well as a trip to the beach.
