Please Note - The postcode will direct to Arbour Lane, rather than the Air Dome itself which is in close proximity. However, I am told that directional signage when approaching the venue is visible, so please stay alert for this to find your way.
Car Park:
Please ensure that all car parking is on the Air Dome-side of the fence. The school-side car park will be used for other events within the school facilities.
Format:
Once attendance has been confirmed, all participants will be split into different groups and welcomed by Head Coach Dean Whittingslow. Each group will complete a circuit-style session moving through several other drill areas covering different game fundamentals. Each drill will last approximately 30 minutes.
After completing the initial circuits, we will break for a 25 minute water and snack break, before moving into the afternoon session before closing.
Equipment:
Please bring appropriate equipment and attire to participate in the session. Please provide your own flag belt where possible. Limited spares will be available for those without belts.
A short break will be allocated in the middle of the session. Please bring any appropriate snacks and drinks to help you throughout the day.
Instructors:
Drills will be led by the women’s flag national programme coaching staff and our playing squad. The day is intended to be informative and approachable, so please don’t hesitate to ask any questions as we go. Time has been allocated at the end of each drill for the group to come together and discuss the exercise and reinforce the learnings intended.
Coaching Staff: Dean Whittingslow (Head Coach), Liam Browne (Defensive Coordinator), Andrew Mathers (Assistant Coach) and Ieuan Tucker (Assistant Coach).
Support Staff: Ellie Travis (BAFA Medical), Callum Bell (Team Manager)
Our coaching staff and current squad members are open and available to you throughout the day. If you have any questions or would like any advice, please feel free to speak to us throughout the day or catch us during the break periods.
Following the event, we will issue an online feedback survey to all. Please take some time to complete this when you are able. Your honest and constructive feedback following the day is essential to ensure we can see what worked well and what we need to improve for the future. Thank you in advance for your support with this.
Please let us know if you have any questions before the day. For more information, please email gbwflag@britishamericanfootball.org.
Thank you.
